About Give Hope Initiatives
We Stand for Refugees!
Give Hope Initiatives (GHI) is a refugee-led community organization established in 2018 in Hagadera Refugee Camp, Dadaab, Kenya. Founded by a group of committed refugee women and men, GHI was created to respond to the urgent needs of displaced communities—especially women, girls, and vulnerable households who face daily challenges such as gender-based violence, lack of legal documentation, limited livelihood opportunities, and recurring conflict.
What Do Others Say About Us?
"Before I met Give Hope Initiatives, I felt alone and helpless. Their team listened to me, supported me, and connected me with the right services. Today, I feel stronger, safer, and more confident. GHI truly gives hope to women like me."
"The peacebuilding and life-skills trainings changed my life. I learned how to resolve conflict peacefully and how to become a leader in my community. GHI believes in young people, and because of them, I now believe in myself."
"Working with Give Hope Initiatives has been incredibly impactful. Their deep understanding of the refugee community and their commitment to accountability make them one of the most reliable refugee-led organizations in Dadaab. Their programs reach the most vulnerable with dignity and professionalism."
We believe in integrity, inclusivity, empowerment, collaboration, and resilience.
